Improving access to healthcare
The NHS Community Pharmacist Consultation Service (CPCS) was launched by NHS England and NHS Improvement on the 29 October 2019, to progress the integration of community pharmacy into local NHS urgent care services, providing more convenient treatment closer to patients’ homes.
GP practices and 111 are able to refer you for a minor illness consultation. The common list of minor ailments include sore throats, aches and pains, sore eyes, mouth ulcers, upset stomach and allergic skin reactions.
If you have a minor illness our Patient Services Team can offer you a referral to a Community Pharmacy of your choice. They will ask a few questions and send a secure message to the Pharmacy. You can then book your appointment direct with the Pharmacist at a time that suits you.
